2011 Kia Pro_cee’d: First Official Images

Kia recently released the first official images of the refreshed Pro_cee’d hatchback. To be unveiled at next year’s Geneva Motor Show in March, the updated 3-door hatch will receive several styling updates including a new front fascia with Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille, new headlights, and revised front bumper with larger air intakes. The new Pro_cee’d will also be available with a new 1.6-liter diesel engine that produces 128 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque.

Stay tuned for more information to come closer to its unveiling date.

I'm sorry, but this is truly a step backwards. Horrible. What were they thinking is what comes to mind. Don't get me wrong, I love what hyundai and kia have been doing as of late and I have like them even before they went on this superior car maker state of mind. But back to the point , this has more hyundai design language than kia and the two combined look awful as opposed to individual. IMO poorly done.

A little soft by recent Kia standards but still a good looking car imo. Would have been nice if they ommitted that side swipe (on the lower part of the door panel) that looks lifted off the Tucson but still a nice ride.

I like it too. It freshens up the current design, which is better resolved than Hyundai's i30 but lacks the tiger nose motif. And although the overall shape is again pretty Audi, the details give it a different, more sporty look. I always admire the current c'eed on the road, which is not something I can claim for the i30 (good car though it may be).

First comment author, where are you from, out of interest? This strikes me as quite a European design (not to mention it's a hatchback of course).
