Facelifted 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe to be Unveiled on November 12th in Korea

According to industry reports from South Korea, the highly anticipated refreshed Hyundai Genesis Coupe will make its world premiere on November 12th at the annual Korea Speed Festival, held at the Taebaek Racing Park in Kangwon, South Korea.

Motorsports officials in the country have confirmed such reports, adding that the Festival will be hosted by Hyundai to showcase its in-house racing-spec Genesis Coupe cars as well.

Although this has not been confirmed by Hyundai yet, the company’s domestic marketing head Kim Sunghwan hinted last week of a “mid-November” release for the new Genesis Coupe.

Spyshots have indicated that the new Genesis Coupe will sport significant exterior and interior changes. Major powertrain improvements are expected, including the possibility of the direct-injected 5.0L V8 found in the Genesis Sedan R-Spec. Whether that would fit under the hood of its 2-door sibling remains to be seen.

More details will be posted as soon as they become available.
